By leaving your device with us you accept our Automatic terms and conditions of warranty agreement & Workplace Health & Safety policy.
Gippsland Electronic Repairs - Trading as Wayne's Electronic Repairs - We pride our place of business in welcoming and providing a friendly & safe environment for all our customers.
Our staff members are kind and courteous to all our customers and gratefully appreciate that you have chosen our store to assist you with your technical requirements.
We have the right to a zero-tolerance policy on bullying and harassment of our staff members. The police will be called, and you will be asked to leave the premises.
You understand, due to OHS policy & Insurance - one of our staff members will assist you in accepting your Television or heavy audiovisual equipment from your vehicle into our store. We have the correct hydraulic equipment to receive these goods safely and securely for your convenience.
The minimum booking fee for the repair or assessment of your device is $145.00 unless advised by our management. This fee applies to each device and is NON REFUNDABLE even if the device is NOT repairable. The initial fee covers technician time to assess the device. Please note your device repair will be logged into our repair database which we will endeavor to repair & service your device within a term of 90 days. If your device has not been repaired or assessed by our technician at this time you will be asked to collect your unrepairable device by us.
You understand & accept that our business, our employees (and any subcontractors we use) may not be warranty repair agents & therefore any repair work attempted may void the balance of any manufacturer warranty on your device.
By leaving your device with us you agree not to hold us liable for any damage caused by you in any method including packaging of, transit and delivery of your device to our store and that we are not liable for costs or replacement of your device due to any damage caused in the process of your repair.
You understand that due to the fragile nature of LED/LCD technology, we ask that all LED/LCD Television Panels be securely packaged and boxed in supportive foam when transported to our store, to avoid accidental damage during transport to us - liquid crystal display screens on new LCD/LED television panels are exposed at the front of the panel and do not have protection membrane or plastic or glass is in front to protect from cracking or internal breakage from an impact, this includes all control boards & cabling, the original mounting stand must be supplied with the television where possible.
The utmost care is taken by our Staff and Technicians in our workshop and correct methods and tools are used in the removal of your TV LCD panel and installation or storage and safe return back to you. Gippsland Electronics trading as Wayne's Electronic Repairs are not held liable or responsible for any unforeseen damage, cracks or damage to the screen or its integrity during transportation via you or any third party or freight company.
You understand that we are not held liable or responsible for any manufacturing defect in the screen under warranty or if your warranty has expired while undergoing any repair work with us.
You understand that new and refurbished parts may be used to complete your repair. Under Australian Consumer Law, we must tell you that “Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.” You agree this does not mean we will completely replace your device, but rather individual repair part/s used to complete your repair may be new &/or refurbished.
You understand & accept that you should contact us to arrange payment &/or collection of your device within 90 days of booking. If your property is not collected within 90 days, you consent to transferring ownership of the items to our business Gippsland Electronic Repair Trading as Wayne's Electronic Repairs. Your item may then be on-sold or recycled to recover costs. We do not need your permission to do this & you will forfeit any right or claim over those items &/or any fee/deposit originally paid.
All repairs our technician completes come with a three (3) month in-store warranty. Warranty is limited to parts/labour of the failed component only (i.e. the part that was replaced). Our warranty does not cover return postage costs, loss of use, loss of data, additional work or other incidental costs/losses. Warranty does not apply to damages like cracked or broken screens, dents, scratches, liquid spills or other accidental damage. A warranty is also unavailable for repair parts purchased in-store where the parts are not installed by our technician. We reserve the right to refuse a warranty on items displaying any physical damage at our discretion.
By not entering into this agreement, we have the right to refuse to repair or receive your device into our care by any of our staff or management at Gippsland Electronic Repairs & Trading as Wayne's Electronic Repairs.
